One person, one vote? Get rid of the Electoral College? How about you understand it first?

These guys look sad, which is hilarious.

They are sad about the election, and some are now MAD about the election of Donald Trump because “Hillary got more votes!”

Example: This is amazing piece of video (jump :52 seconds in)…

After some nonsense about black votes, he runs this stuff…

“More human beings voted for Hillary”

“Count the votes”

“Walk in to the Supreme and say one vote equals one vote”

Don Lemon acknowledges he used to work with him at CNN, which surprises no one.

Either way, this guy is an idiots.

First off, the popular vote canard is a joke. The way the Electoral College is set up, focuses the election on a few swing states (OH, FL, VA, NC, IA, NH, PA and this year WI, MI, CO) and by doing this it generally depresses the turnout in Alabama and California. This argument is completely invalid.

Why was the Electoral College setup?

The Electoral College was created for two reasons. The first purpose was to create a buffer between population and the selection of a President. The second as part of the structure of the government that gave extra power to the smaller states.

The first reason that the founders created the Electoral College is hard to understand today. The founding fathers were afraid of direct election to the Presidency. They feared a tyrant could manipulate public opinion and come to power. Hamilton wrote in the Federalist Papers:

If we do away with this, expect campaign to focus on CA, TX, NY, FL, IL, PA and Ohio only.

Let’s educate these morons.
