Police say Ogle was beaten in the parking lot of an old hardware store Sept. 30.He is being treated at UAB Hospital for multiple head injuries. Police have previously said the attack may have been racially motivated. All four of those arrested are black.
The men arrested were identified as:
Quartez Lamar Walker, 20, and Bobby Ronchea Brown, 19, arrested on the campus of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa. Walker has been charged with first degree assault, while Brown was charged with second degree assault. Walker is being held on $20,000 bond, and Brown is being held on $15,000 bond.
La Noah Grant Ealy, Jr., 18, arrested on the campus of Auburn University at Montgomery on second degree assault charges. He is being held on $15,000 bond in the Talladega County Jail.
Daveon Shamareya Nix, 20, arrested in Sylacauga on second degree assault charges. He is being held on $15,000 bond.
The Daily Home is reporting that Nix is the son of Sylacauga District 2 City Councilwoman-elect Tiffany Nix.
Johnson said several witnesses came forward, and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department, Homicide Division, assisted in apprehending the two suspects in their county. No further arrests are expected.
If these roles were reversed, this would be national news.
