A Huntsville little league football team has setup a GoFundMe account after someone stole $15,000 worth of equipment Monday night.
Jade Raths, president of the Huntsville Sting, said her husband was coming home from work when he noticed the trailer holding all the equipment was gone. Raths said the team kept the trailer at her father’s office located near South Memorial Parkway.
Raths was informed by law enforcement that there have been a lot of trailer thefts in the area, but the suspects have not been identified. The team is offering a $500 reward for anyone who has any information about the theft.
Some of the children are trying to comprehend the situation, Raths said.
“The kids are shocked. I was shocked. Who steals little league equipment?” Raths said. “For a lot of them, this is their first experience losing something personal because it was stolen.”
Raths said about $1,000 has been raised so far. Some of the parents are mad about the stolen items which includes helmets, shoulder pads and the mascot costume.
“A lot of the parents have been with the program since their child was 5 years old,” Raths said. “So they worked hard to raise money to provide them good equipment. We worked so hard to build an inventory and it’s gone in one day.”
What did you expect Cruz to do?
Many people are upset with Cruz…
What did you think Trump would have done here?
By the way…
Don’t like Trump: He embarrassed Trump
Like Trump: He embarrassed himself
Reality: It was approved.
Also: Trump is still fighting John Kasich…
Indeed, Pence was also the safe pick — a politician known for his message discipline and media skills.
That message discipline was on display Wednesday night, as he rattled off a number of key conservative priorities — opposition to abortion; electing conservative justices; veterans’ issues — and a number of popular Clinton attacks.
“Lock her up,” rang out as Pence spoke. He paused for several seconds as the chants blared, and then suggested Hillary Clinton is “disqualified from ever serving” as the head of the U.S. Military, and attacked her on her tenure as Secretary of State.
Pence also sought to reframe some of Trump’s most controversial qualities as assets for the Republican party, offering a favorable contrast to Hillary Clinton, who he dubbed the “secretary of the status quo.”
Finally, someone use the dreaded “c-word”… Conservative.
Butts and others in the delegation said Alabama Republicans were stirred to act during Ted Cruz’s speech at the convention. But not because of his words.
A British TV journalist forced his way through the crowd, Butts said. As he did so he shoved Butts’ 66-year-old wife, Suze, and knocked her off balance. Still he forced his way forward, and the judge jumped to her aid, he and others said.
“He shoved her so hard I had to catch her,” Butts said. “I’m still in pretty good shape and I jammed him up against the wall with my elbow. I said ‘Touch my wife again and they’ll have to haul you out of here.'”
Mrs. Butts has arthritis, and the contact was dangerous, he said.
Delegate Dennis Beavers was nearby. He said the Alabama delegation was not going to take that kind of behavior, and it jumped to Mrs. Butts’ aid.
A speechwriter working for Donald Trump’s company identified herself Wednesday as the person responsible for plagiarism in Melania Trump’s convention speech and offered her resignation.Meredith McIver apologized in a statement sent out by the campaign and said Donald and Melania Trump did not accept her resignation.“She made a mistake … we all make mistakes,” Donald Trump told ABC News later Wednesday.
Why not on day 1?.
Why tell all the lies?
- She wrote it.
- She didn’t write it
- It wasn’t plagiarized
- Hillary Clinton made us do it.
- Everyone does it
- OK, we did it… But it was totally an accident.
Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions would not say Wednesday whether he believes presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton should be in prison.
Sessions, who was the first senator to endorse Trump during a Madison rally in February, has played an influential role at the convention. He gave a speech in prime time in support of Trump, formally nominated Trump for president, and serves as the co-chair of the Alabama delegation.
This stuff is weird.
Melania’s white privilege…
A Pennsylvania man used a stolen brain he kept hidden in a Wal-Mart bag and tucked under the front porch of a trailer to get high, police say.
Joshua Long, 26 of Carlisle was arrested last week and charged with abuse of a corpse, Fox 43 reported.
Pennsylvania state police confirmed the brain belonged to an adult human and was most likely a teaching specimen.
“At this point now we’re just trying to figure out where it came from,” Trooper Robert Hicks told the news station. “We’re hoping that if anyone is missing a human specimen brain to bring it to our attention and maybe we can return it to its rightful owner.”
According to the report, Long would infuse marijuana in the brain, which was already soaked with formaldehyde, while visiting the couple who lived in the trailer, Robby Zoller and Angela Micklo.
Troopers say smoking the brain caused an “intense, hallucinating, and dangerous high.”
A New Jersey woman took playing Pokémon Go to new heights on Tuesday night when she got stuck in a tree while trying to catch creatures.
The East Greenwich Township (N.J.) Fire & Rescue wrote about the incident on its Facebook page as its public safety message of the day.
“Tonight District 19 was dispatched to Eglington Cemetery for a Pokémon stuck in a tree, along with the person who was chasing it,” the post stated. “Rescue Squad 1918 set up an extension ladder and was able to assist the person back down to the ground safely.”
Fire Chief Rob Gould III told NBC 10 that the young woman was a bit embarrassed about the whole situation.
The rescue service also provided this warning:
“For all those out there playing Pokémon Go, take heed of all of the warnings and be careful not to put yourself into bad situations. Think about what you are doing and where you are going before you actually do it.”
