Alabama Mornings’ ShowPrep for April 18th, 2016…

Whining Trump whines, then his campaign does what he is whining about…

Donald Trump’s campaign is going all out to win delegates in Nevada, offering to cover transportation and lodging costs for Nevada supporters who travel to Reno in mid May to participate in delegate elections.

Trump’s Nevada activities contradict his claim that he has deliberately declined to invest resources in the election of delegates to the Republican nominating convention in Cleveland because the process is “corrupt.”

“With overwhelming success throughout each county, we’re in a strong position going into the state convention being held in Reno on May 14th and 15th,” Charles Munoz, Trump’s Nevada state director, wrote in an email to the billionaire’s grassroots supporters. “We’ll also be announcing training’s, lodging and transportation opportunities for delegates within the next couple days.”

“I don’t want to waste millions of dollars going out to Colorado knowing the system is rigged. I don’t want to waste millions of dollars going out to Wyoming, many months before, to wine and dine and essentially pay off all these people, because a lot of it’s a payoff, you understand that,” Trump said Saturday during an interview on Fox News. “They treat them, they take them to dinner, they get them these hotels, I mean the whole thing is a big payoff. Has nothing to do with democracy.”

When Governor Bentley loses…

Gov. Robert Bentley rolled into office on the promise of “transparency.”

“Transparency promotes government accountability, and as elected officials, we are held accountable for our decisions by the people we serve,” he said.

It was like his motto.

Alabama “deserves transparency in everything we do.”

”If you have things to hide, then maybe you’re doing things wrong.”

”I think you ought to be willing to release everything to the American people.”

”I believe in transparency.”

Yep, yep yep.

He even made a big deal – over and over again — of releasing his tax returns.

But all of that changed. Not just recently. Not just since former Alabama Law Enforcement secretary Spencer Collier dropped the bomb on him in March, telling the world and the authorities Bentley may have used state money and resources to carry out an affair with his now-former political adviser, Rebekah Caldwell Mason.

Sometime in the fall of 2014, after Seth Hammett took over as Bentley’s chief of staff and after I began to write about excessive overtime paid to a member of Bentley’s executive security team, the governor demanded that members of his staff sign non-disclosure agreements.

What happens in Montgomery stays in Montgomery.

Even if what happens in Vegas does not.

Brazilian impeachment moves forward…

Also, sounds kinda familiar…

Rouseff, 68, is accused of illegal accounting manoeuvres to mask government shortfalls during her 2014 re-election. Many Brazilians also hold her responsible for the economic mess and a massive corruption scandal centered on state oil company Petrobras, a toxic record that has left her government with 10 per cent approval ratings.

If the Senate goes along, she gets forced out for 180 days…

Now the decision by the lower house moves the matter to the Senate, which is expected to vote in May on whether to open a trial. In case of a green light there, too — which experts also consider almost certain — Rousseff would step down for 180 days while the trial got under way.

“Pensions in Alabama are fine” -Everyone who’s money is guaranteed regardless of what happens with RSA investments…

Obama immigration plan under attack…

Seems the current Supreme Court set-up favors Obama and the disaster unfolding in the GOP primary doesn’t help…

No, jerks will not be “allowed” to be jerks in movie theaters…

Especially in schools…

HUGE minimum wage hikes are probably not a good idea…

Good politics, though…
