This story will never stop, until Bentley comes clean.
Republican State Rep. Ed Henry told CNN affiliate WAFF he’ll carry articles of impeachment against the governor.
Whether or not he had an affair, many Alabamians are just angry about what appears to be subterfuge coming from a politician who campaigned as a honest, principled conservative.
Embattled Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley played the God card Monday as he apologized again for the seamy scandal that has upended his administration.
“I’ve asked God to forgive me because that’s the most important thing,” Bentley said while on a tour of the Limestone Correction Facility in Harvest, Ala. “I want back in His fellowship. And so I asked God to forgive me.”
Doesn’t he need to be honest to get this?
The idea that he did not have sexual relations with that woman, Mrs. Mason, is absolutely absurd, embarrassing and insulting to the people of this state.
If you want forgiveness, you have to come clean.
