Actually it is not about assault rifles, it is about all rifles and the far more dangerous feet, knives and clubs…

Fact schmacts…
So once again, the liberal argument is disingenuous and dishonest.
Politifact agrees…
The post uses data selectively, ignoring the significant role of handguns in gun violence. But the statistics it mentions are solid. FBI data backs up the Facebook post’s claim that in 2011, more people were murdered with knives, “hands or feet” or “clubs and hammers” than with any type of rifle. We rate the statement True.
Ban feet!
Knife registration now!
You aren’t a caveman, you don’t need a bat!
The rush to ban rifles is political not practical.

How many multiple murder incidents were committed with an instrument other than a gun?
Most murders are committed by people known to the victim. How many stranger on stranger murders were committed by an instrument other than a gun?
Well we should ban stranger murder, right?
What could possibly be your point?
What could possibly be the point of this post?
Read it till you get it.
These rifles aren’t the problem.
They aren’t automatic, they aren’t weapons of war and they are not used to kill Americans in large numbers. You are using dead kids for politics.
The rate of murder will not change drastically when guns are banned completely from civilian society, we will continue to kill each other in other ways, and those we kill are most likely to be family members and friends.
Well, what is the point then? Politics?
20 dead 1st graders.
The next time something similar happens, the response to ban and/or confiscate guns will overwhelm the politicians and they will enact new legislation that will directly contradict the preconceived notions of the 2nd amendment.
Best of luck using future dead kids… Maybe we will get a speech on the blood soaked ground next time. Maybe you will get at the Constitution that way.
It will happen, its just a matter of time. The amount of attention that this shooting garnered makes another much more attractive to the truly crazy potential mass shooter.
50 years from now, there guns laws as we know them today will be a vague memory.
A lot of things will look different in 50 years. The 2nd Amendment will survive.
A recent Quinnipiac University poll showed nearly two-thirds of Virginians support banning military-style assault rifles and high-capacity magazines. More than 90 percent favor universal background checks.
Bringing an AK into the statehouse is guaranteed to increase the public outcry for complete draconian gun and ammo control. Tell him to keep it up.
I know what your talking about but your post makes no sense. Try agin.
The harder the gun nuts push for continued lack of gun control the more public support will be building to enact even more controls.
Background checks and keeping them out of the hands of the mentally ill is widely accepted… The fabricated assault weapons ban? Not so much.
Let’s write up the legislation for gun control and let the Democrat conrolled Senate vote. That will end the discussion very quickly.
Too easy, must talk for 3 more months.
Let’s just hope they proofread it this time or we might end up with a law that bans the military and police from using assault weapons.
