After Rep. Gabby Giffords was shot in the head we heard everyone from the mainstream media to local bloggers (read where I blow up that argument in the comments, never mind they hid my comments because they could not confront them) blaming the Tea Party, Sarah Palin and Talk Radio…
A similar, and long overdue, outcry has followed the Tucson killings. Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, who blamed the “vitriol we hear inflaming the American public” for the massacre, mentioned Palin by name and generally denounced conservative TV and radio commentary. Some in the media have fingered Beck, too.
While the accusations sometimes go too far – there’s no evidence that either Palin or Beck inspired the Tucson suspect – the heat is well deserved. Both are finally being held to account for recklessly playing with violent images in a way that is bound to incite the unstable. In Beck’s case, as I reported last year, it already has – repeatedly.
Palin’s now-famous offense was her tweet last March telling conservatives: “Don’t Retreat, Instead – RELOAD!” The tweet referred people to her Facebook “target” map showing the districts of Gabrielle Giffords and other House Democrats in a rifle’s cross hairs.
They were completely wrong. the guy was a nut. they still, top this day, reference the tone of politics when referencing this case even though had nothing to do with it.
They clearly did not learn their lesson…
At least 12 people were killed and more than 50 people were injured at a shooting in a movie theater in Colorado early Friday morning. During ABC News’ coverage of the shooting on Friday, Stephanopoulos noted that Ross had discovered that the alleged shooter, Jim Holmes, may be linked to the Tea Party.
“There’s a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea Party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year,” said Ross. “Now, we don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it’s Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.”
A personal page on a Colorado Tea Party website shows a user named Jim Holmes highlighted an event with an expert who had discussed “global Islamic terrorism. ” This link between the shooter and the Tea Party that ABC News was referring to.
The kicker is this line: “Now, we don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes”. Then why say it?
It’s not just liberals, they just have the platforms to decimate information quickly, some want to tie it to the Occupy Wall Street movement…
James Holmes, DOB 12/13/1987, the car he was driving had Tenn license plates. The Batman movie portrays the OWS crowd in a negative vein, the new Batman movie featured the villain as an Occupy Wall Street type. I would first look at the possibility that James Holmes, DOB 12/13/1987, was caught up in the OWS movement took it upon himself to strike back against “THE MAN.
I Include that link from an obscure blog to prove a point, no conservative figures of any note are being this irresponsible. (Show me I am wrong)
I end with this…
You don’t know… Shut up.
Editor’s Note: An earlier ABC News broadcast report suggested that a Jim Holmes of a Colorado Tea Party organization might be the suspect, but that report was incorrect. ABC News and Brian Ross apologize for the mistake, and for disseminating that information before it was properly vetted.

I don’t know about the Tennessee and OWS ties, but I know a 24 year old white male, armed with an ak47 assault weapon, a cannister of gas and wearing a bullet proof vest opened fire in a crowded movie theater, killing12 people, wounding 50.
I do know that some are speculating if the shooting had anything to do with Rush Limbaugh’s comments about the villain in the movie being a thinly veiled attack on Mitt Romney.
I do know the Bush administration relaxed the assault weapons ban that was put in place by the Clinton administration.
I do know that 70,000 African Americans are killed by 70,000 other African Americans a year.
I do know that 13 people are killed daily by guns in Chicago.
I do know Attorney General Eric Holder was found in contempt of congress regarding the Fast and Furious gun scandal.
I do know that a 9 year old girl was killed and a 3 month old baby was shot in the movie theater.

I do know if an African American male had purchased an ak47 assault weapon, a bullet proof vest, cans of tear gas, and a gas mask he wouldn’t have gotten 2 blocks from the store before he would have been pulled over in “for a routine traffic stop.”

I do know republicans like to blow thing up and that’s messed up.
Yes, it is a race and political issue in Colorado.
Classless buffoon.

-Lying to congress about anything is a felony. Pesidents aren’t above this. It’s called purgery, look it up
I don’t know about the Tennessee and OWS ties, but I know a 24 year old white male, armed with an ak47 assault weapon, a cannister of gas and wearing a bullet proof vest opened fire in a crowded movie theater, killing12 people, wounding 50.
- Yes it’s a tradgedy, why does it matter that he’s white, he a sadistic psyco no matter his color.
I do know that some are speculating if the shooting had anything to do with Rush Limbaugh’s comments about the villain in the movie being a thinly veiled attack on Mitt Romney.
-Speculating without any basis for reality. I could speculate anything, but it’s absolutely rediculous.
I do know the Bush administration relaxed the assault weapons ban that was put in place by the Clinton administration.
-Gun laws won’t stop law breakers.
I do know that 70,000 African Americans are killed by 70,000 other African Americans a year.
-I’ll accept your number and question why it’s even relevant to the dicussion
I do know that 13 people are killed daily by guns in Chicago.
-Guns are currently outlawed in Chicago. See how that works. Now just the crimminals have them.
I do know Attorney General Eric Holder was found in contempt of congress regarding the Fast and Furious gun scandal.
- Because he gave guns to Mexican drug cartels without any way to track them and it ended with the death of hundreds of Mexicans and an american Border patrol agent.
I do know that a 9 year old girl was killed and a 3 month old baby was shot in the movie theater.
- Again it’s a tradgedy, we know.

-They blamed Sarah Palin by speculating that she was involed somehow.
I do know if an African American male had purchased an ak47 assault weapon, a bullet proof vest, cans of tear gas, and a gas mask he wouldn’t have gotten 2 blocks from the store before he would have been pulled over in “for a routine traffic stop.”
-I know at least three law-abiding African Americans who have purchased all that stuff and more and they have never been pulled over “for a routine traffic stop.” or hassled by law enforcement in any way.

I do know republicans like to blow thing up and that’s messed up.
-This last part is just unrestrained stupidity trying to be witty. You forgot to add “snark” to the end.
Do you really know this or were you just told and are taking someone’s word for it? Is there an underground network that gunshops have with dispatch to notify them when an African American purchases riot gear. If this were a race issue, wouldn’t the police prefer that African Americans purchase this gear since they seem to quite evenly kill their own (70K on 70K)? It seems like a good time to take a doughnut/coffee break.
