In the long history of this show we have very few traditions. But by far my favorite is naming each years Turkeys of the year.
2008:
- Pamela Furr (local)
- John McCain (national)
2009:
- Dr. Ann Roy Moore (local)
- Barack Obama(national)
So this year’s nominees are as follows….
- Parker Griffith – too easy… the party switch, refusing to come on my show, lame attacks
- Jim Gilchrist – getting busted for selling the endorsement of the Minuteman organization
- James Lomax – running for city council and using the internet to launch traceable personal attacks on his listeners
- Beth Chapman – for whining about people wanting her to her job
- Les Phillip – for running a joke campaign and completely lacking integrity
- Ladd Ehlinger – impersonating a talk show host or relevant media personality
- Birthers – seriously, they are still talking about Obama’s birth certificate
- Bingo 11 – indicted for trying to buy legislation
- Ron Sparks – ran for governor as the bingo candidate
- Dale Jackson – Why? Something about leaves.
- Tiger Woods – had the best life ever and got busted
- Mel Gibson – destroyed his career
- WAFF 48 News - pretending the Antoine Dodson story was real news…
- Huntsville City School Board – general incompetence
- Steve Raby – PAC-man gambling lobbyist who denied involvement with Ron Gilley casino vote influencing money laundering scheme by “transferring” ownership to nephew, Tea party Robocalls, “Zero funding for Redstone Arsenal” and “Washington outsider/Washington insider”
- David Edward Milam – fake Republicans for Raby group
- Jeff Enfinger – zzzzzip
Voting starts at 9AM…

Be sure and add yourself to that list Dale – tons of airtime devoted to attacking his listeners who thought giving citizens a chance to say if they thought the leaf trucks were still a good idea by just the existence of a petition (damn if that don’t sound like free speech). If James Lomax makes that list then Dale Jackson sure makes it. I especially loved the episode where you basically accused one of the SHCA of civil disobedience and got bitch slammed when they had pictures and facts (I can say that word slowly if ya don’t understand it). Seemed your interest in them dropped dramatically after that little foray into witch hunting. I am still curious as to why you decided to try to smear the SHCA but I guess it will just have to remain a mystery. It did wonders for your credibility. Yep, add yourself but the easy winners from your list are Ron Sparks and Parker Griffith but I would give a chance for a 2fer for Ann Roy Moore since she is still stealing our money into 2011.
I will add me but your gonna have to better than that.
SHCA never sent me photos.
“I will add me but your gonna have to better than that.”
Well as much of a turkey as you are I seriously think we should consider the 2fer for Ann Roy Moore or are the taxpayers of Huntsville the real turkeys here since we are still paying her astronomically seriously salary and will continue to do so for several more months. Maybe I don’t understand the definitions at play here but since we are looking for the last 12 months she gets my vote even over your baseless attacks.
“SHCA never sent me photos.”
Gee, why would a organization consisting mainly of home owners and their spouses dedicating their time for free not mount a campaign to prove they are not the hideous evil doers you have portrayed them to be over a non-issue? Maybe they are just tired of dealing with ya.
Just so I can be clear, the subject (leaf truck) is NOT the reason I wanted to add you. It was the ridiculous amount of time you spent on it and the accompanying attacks on the SHCA which still defy logic unless it was a personal vendetta.
Mel Gibson FTW!
The Huntsville Times.
Dale Jackson should be the Turkey of the year!
Dale maintains people should “shelve their principles” when it is politically convenient! Dale attacks Democrats for having no principles, and then openly calls for Republicans to disregard their principles in order to get elected.
If Dale can shelve his principles for partisan political purposes, then Dale really has no principles… Dale is a partisan hack and a ratings whore!
Happy Thanksgiving Dale! Keep up the great work!
Again?
How many times do we have to go over this?
From a conversation months ago…
Electable candidate who is not 100% pure conservative but maybe 90% conservative vs. unelectable 100% conservative but severely flawed candidate? Even you can tell who the right choice is. (see: Delaware and Nevada)
This is the difference between a majority and a minority in the Senate.
Again?
I understand your “Again?
I understand your “explanation” of why it’s OK to go against your “principles” for political purposes…it’s a power grab!
I maintain that an ethical principled person who compromises their principles like you do is not really an ethical principled person…please don’t take this the wrong way, I put Parker Griffith in the same category!
Have a great holiday!
Sure…
Other notable Turkeys are:
-Steve Raby – PAC-man gambling lobbyist who denied involvement with Ron Gilley casino vote influencing money laundering scheme by “transferring” ownership to nephew. Raby was executing the scheme to some of the Bingo 11 prior to the indictments and prior to throwing the nephew under the bus.
-Steve Raby – Tea party Robocalls
-Steve Raby – “Zero funding for Redstone Arsenal”
-Steve Raby – Washington outsider / Washington insider
-David Edward Milam – Claiming to be a “Republican for Steve Raby”, Tea Party of one, and bigoted pathological obsession over candidates religion
Les Phillip deserves the Turkey award for his lack of integrity about his and his followers attacks on Mo Brooks. Les Phillip should have been attacking Parker Griffith the real liberal. There was some evidence to suggest that Parker Griffith was even paying Les Phillip to not attack Parker Griffith. The Les attacks on Mo Brooks lacked substance.
I voted for Ron Sparks’ moustache because it abandoned him when he needed it most. Only the power of Ron Sparks’ moustache could have won the general election for him, as evidenced by his win in the Democrat Primary.
Where’s Roy Moore?
